We are a small and dynamic family business specialised in Sapphires, Rubies, Emeralds and Diamonds. Since 1979 we focus on delivering the highest possible quality for the most reasonable price. To achieve this we travel all over the world, visiting mines and cutting factories in Asia, for rubies and sapphires, South-America for emeralds, and sourcing diamonds from leading manufacturers here in Antwerp. We strive to do our purchasing as close to the source as possible. We are located in the heart of the main diamond district of Antwerp, which is one of the largest diamond markets in the world. In 1979, Fredy Sand, the founder of the company, started selling gems. In the early years, mostly smaller and lower commercial-grade goods, to jewellery shops and jewellery manufacturers. Slowly, the business expanded and the stones became larger and higher in quality. In 1995, Dave, the eldest son of Fredy, joined the company and graduated from the gemmology course at GIA in Carlsbad, California in 1997
