Interest in gemstones came naturally to Parambir Singh Makhni (Pammy). Decades ago his maternal parents owned mines in Mogok, Burma and traded in Burmese rubies and sapphires. In 1975, after receiving a Bachelors degree in India, Pammy came to Bangkok and his close interest in gems took him to the mines, from where he started buying rubies and sapphires, cutting and polishing them and then selling in local Bangkok market. Later in 1981, Makhni Enterprises was established and began exporting fine quality rubies and sapphires all around the world. In 2005 his son Karan Makhno joined him after getting his GG (Graduate Gemologist) from GIA Carlsbad, California and thus bringing in fresh ideas to better serve our clients. Now, after almost 3 decades of serving clients all over the globe, Makhni Enterprises earned a trusted name in colour stone/gem industry.
