Born in 1961 near Lake Constance, Barbara Anna Schletterer grew up with four siblings. Early on, she discovered her love of designing unusual and individual pieces of jewelry. In 1994 the graduate fashion and jewelry designer decided to make her passion for the profession and to work as a freelance jewelry designer. Since then, their concept has been addressing an internationally steadily growing customer base. For more than 22 years, she has lived in an old farmhouse in the Esslingen region. There she draws strength and inspiration in the ambience of her modern rooms. The jewelry by Barbara Anna Schletterer is characterized by courage to clear shapes and minimalist design. The focus is on the reduction to the essentials, which gives her works a timeless and simple elegance. The successful combination of geometrical forms and archaic symbolism creates jewelery with expressive authenticity and unobtrusive beauty.
