AORP is a private entity which currently represents around 75% of the jewellery industries in the north of our country. However, due to the fact this region is where a large part of domestic jewellery production is concentrated, AORP actually represents most of the Portuguese companies from this economic sector. Any company from the jewellery sector may join AORP, in addition to companies involved in the industry (manufacture, assembly and repair), as mentioned previously, and retailers, wholesalers and other associated activities such as precious stones, cases, machinery, etc.
