In 1963, at age 14, Cesare Meini became an apprentice in the craft workshop Ricci, one of the most famous goldsmiths in Florence of the '60s. In this workshop located near the Ponte Vecchio Meini learns the basics of ornamental design, modeling, and especially of the tunnel 'burin engraving. In 1971, enriched by the experience gained in previous years, Meini enrolled Albo Artisans and opens a goldsmith's workshop in the historical center of Florence, where he began to develop his own technique of working. Since 1977 the business is transferred in Rignano sull'Arno where Meini still realizes his creations, in collaboration with his sons Lorenzo and Leonardo.
