The business started in Hong Kong in 1984 and was founded by Lukas Dürrenmatt. The goal was, and still is, to create and manufacture jewellery of fashionable design and to establish a successful, reputable company. In 1989, Regent Jewellery Ltd was set up in Thailand as a BOI* approved company to broaden the production base. To streamline production and take advantage of the favourable working environment, the entire organisation was moved to Thailand in 1999 into its own factory premises at Sukhumvit Road, Bangkok. Lukas Dürrenmatt is the company's Managing Director, a Swiss national and professional goldsmith by training with a long history in jewellery making. He is supported by Regent's loyal and devoted staff of 50+.
