Lydie Chabot certificated in plastics arts in university and was also a student from the very famous Studio Bercot in Paris .
Eric Samain got a Spanish diploma, an economy licence and start to work with the french fashion designer Stella Cadente.
First, they both worked in differents jewellery and fashion accessories companies , Montana , Véronique Leroy , Mahmoud Akram .
They quickly decided to get their own workshop and they started working together .
The french magazine " Depeche Mode " invited them to present their first collection in October 1994 during the fashion fair in Paris.
From 1995 Christian Lacroix , Gilles Rosier asked them to accessorise their defile .
Other designers such as Valentino , Ungaro , Vanessa Bruno trusted in their talent.
In 1996 the famous English film director Kenneth Branagh asked them some jewels for his picture " Hamlet" . in 2010 they work for the film " Adèle Blanc-Sec " directed by Luc Besson.
July 1995 they opened their first boutique in Paris ( passage du grand Cerf , Paris 2e ).
There they present all their creations but also a great selection of french and European accessories designers .
September 2008 they opened their second shop in Lille ( north of France) in the old historic town.
Eric et Lydie ' s work is based on the record of the 19th-century jewels .They try to translate in a modern way the necklaces their grand mothers use to wear.
