Victorian Antique Natural Burma Red Spinel and Diamond Crescent Moon Brooch

A Victorian natural red spinel and diamond crescent brooch, with 19 natural red spinels graduating from the centre, in grain settings, with a row of old-cut diamonds set between, either side, with a narrow, flat edge on the inside and cut down settings and a gallery on the outside curve. Mounted in yellow gold. Circa 1890. With a pin and later roller catch and removable safety chain.
