Martin Fox established Laurel Jewellery in 1976 operating from premises in Edgware, Middlesex (now relocated to Watford, Hertfordshire), after having previously been in the retail jewellery trade. Martin began buying from English manufacturers and importers and very shortly after began to regularly attend Vicenza Oro, the jewellery trade fair in Italy. He started importing for himself new and exciting gold and silver products to the UK from Italian manufacturers. Laurel Jewellery was then able to offer goods that were modern and innovative to independent retail jewellers and have continued to do so ever since.
